Extra Sackboy Mystery - I can't even start the game!

I have a ghost sackboy right at the beginning, I cannot continue. I've tried everything, I've switched off both controllers and re-assigned them accordingly, there is no bluetooth remote or USB devices connected. Either my game has a bug or there is a fault on my NEW PS3 unless there are any other solutions? Please help! Do you find this valuable?

How about a gh controller? Do you find this valuable?

Use the controller to start your PS3 (ie: from its red-light standby state, press a controller's PS3 button). This will ensure the unit only initially recognises ONE controller.
Of course, ensure as well that you definitely have switched off completely any of those daft guitar or similar controller-thingies beforehand. Do you find this valuable?

Hi Folks, what is a gh controller? I've tried the controller issue b4 still didn't work. I have hopefully solved the problem, what I noticed was that I could not download the update successfully at the beginning which most games prompt you with, telling me an error had occured. So I disabled the internet connection on the PS3 and on my router and... Download successful plus mystery sackboy gone! Bizzare.
