Making a big level?
Aug 4 2009, 5:06 PM EDT
I've looked every where for answers to this, but haven't really found any. I've played levels online that were ridiculously big, and I can't figure out how it's done. Do you have to have 100% prizes to get more room? Or does it count if you have extra stuff packs? The levels I've tried to make have been pretty small and nowhere near what I've seen some levels be, like the Silent Hill one. If any one has made one of those really large levels, give me some tips on how to do that. I've heard the more complicated things you have in level, the faster the meter will rise, but some levels have a lot of complicated objects and they still manage to be big. Any tips?

You should check out lbpcentral.com (sorry about advertising for another site, but there's some really good stuff there concerning this)They have a LOT of helpful info for building levels, though most are on pretty old threads, so it'll take some hunting... Do you find this valuable? |

in general i find the number of materials you use is the biggest thermometer filler. For every new material you use the thermometer jumps up a bit so try to stick to a theme. I find that helps. Emitters and brains take a lot up as well so dont use too many. Switches i suppose as well but only loads of them . Keep your level simple and you wont run into that problem.
