How do you delete mass inside of objects while creating levels?
Feb 12 2009, 2:12 PM EST
When editing levels, is there a way to delete space inside of an existing object or block? For example, if i create a block out of some metal, then i want to delete a circle out of it, is there a way to just take away a circle out of the middle?I have found one way, but it takes FOREVER! You put the green disappearing material inside of the metal in the shape you want deleted, and attach it to a lever, then step on it, and that deletes anything it was touching, but that takes forever! Help please! Do you find this valuable? |

Hi. Just select a circle shape from any of the basic materials. Position the circle exactly where you would like to make the 'hole' and press *triangle*. That should then remove/delete that shape out from the block. Presto! I'm 100% certain it's in the tutorials as well, just have a look at the basic material tutorial if you're still having trouble.

If you create anything, and then press down the right joypad analogue stick (I think it's the right one), it copies the shape. You are then free to move it through everything, and therefore use that method to remove material from pre-existing stuff.
