It's Official: LittleBigPlanet Beta for later this month!

Sam, one of the developers of LBP, has been posting over at the official Sony LittleBigPlanet forums. He just confirmed that there will be a limited public beta to stress test the servers and the online side of the game. No details were given on how people will be chosen for the beta, but he did confirm that only a limited number of people will be chosen. It may be something as simple as a sign up form or something as off-beat as the Home theme that got some people into the closed Home beta. Another detail left in the dark is when exactly the beta is set to start, all that we've been told is that it will be in September. Luckily Sam promised that they will tell us before the beta starts so we at least won't be left in the dark for too long. 5 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

I have a feeling it may have something to do with this weeks Qore episode. The main feature this week is LBP and it includes a LBP theme... ah well, I wouldnt mind if I didnt get in, we only have less than 2 months til it gets here. I can wait.

Now sometimes they do reward those who subscribe with special stuff, but at the very least you know you'll be able to get the videos and theme. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

:S qore isent on the Uk playstation store ? i thought it was just americain so how will europe exspect to get there hands on the beta. i mean after all the game is made in the Uk so surley it would first come out to europe?

i was thinkign that when i said im not a subscriber lol on Mm's blog it says there will be one but details rnt certain yet n when they r we will be told how to sign up for it

In the past when Qore has granted access to a beta it's been publicized in advance to encourage people to subscribe. All we've been promised with this month's Qore are videos and a theme and I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that's all we get. In any case, no matter how you get access to the beta, I'm sure people from all around the world will have some way of getting in. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

No beta in sept's Qore. I've lost all faith in betas after all the Home speculation and "Betty" n all that. I'll wait for an official anouncement on the blog, but until then assume its not coming, its easier haha.
