LBP Beta insight
Aug 15 2008, 8:52 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 15 2008, 8:52 PM EDT
This is a complete shot in the dark, but I think that registering on the LBP News site is registering us for the LBP Beta. Notice how it made you register with your PSN ID? Kinda perculiar. The downloadable Home Beta theme/application used the same sort of concept. Possibilities. . . 10  out of 11 found this valuable. Do you?

Odds are their open it up to Qore 1 year subscribers first then to others, possibly what you said, later. 5  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

the prediction i heard that made sence was that the whole "community" of lbp might be integrated with the website...

like a more andvances version of bungee's site for halo

i'd much rather have it be both though XD

I agree, I totally forgot about that.
Bungie has GamerTags connected to Bungie.net profiles, allowing the users on there to share their maps screenshots gametypes and videos and download other peoples maps and such from the internet and log on Halo 3 and have them auto downloaded.

I'm almost sure MM will do the same, but this doesn't rule out the idea of the beta, heck, Bungie let a ton of long time Bungie.net users get in early.

another shot in the dark , but maybe, if you can send your creations in messages, they'll send people who signed up exclusive content through a message 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I feel marginally better about my chances to be in the beta because I've got a Qore subscription and register the Home thingee and the LBP thingee. My chances have improved from "no shot" to "slim and none"! 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Just thought I'd throw out there that next month's Qore is supposed to have a lot of stuff on LittleBigPlanet, including an exclusive theme. Considering that (allegedly) the beta is supposed to start next month, I'd say it's quite a good possibility that there could be a connection between Qore and the beta. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. "What's Qore? Sorry if this is an ignorant question!"
No problem, Qore is kind of like a downloadable magazine available from the PSN. It launched earlier this summer as a replacement for the old Playstation Magazine (it's even run by the same company that published that magazine if I remember correctly). Each episode features video articles about different games coming to the PS3 and PSP, along with exclusive downloadable content (everything from demos, to themes, and even access to betas--the first episode granted access to the Socom beta starting next month). You can get a one year subscription for twenty dollars (I think) and each episode for about three bucks (again I don't remember the exact price).

Anyway, the September issue is supposed to "go big with LittleBigPlanet" and there's also supposed to be an exclusive LittleBigPlanet theme. No idea if it will actually help you get into a LittleBigPlanet beta or not, but it should be a must download for anyone looking forward to the game.

Hey man, thanks so much for the answer - really interesting! Sounds worthy of a signup, especially if there's an exclusive theme! Would LOVE to be involved in the Beta testing! 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
