So here's the deal: I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy that up until recently is the reason I've been avoiding online gaming. For anybody who doesn't know anything about CP: I got lucky. With most cases of CP, cognitive abilities are severely impaired, mostly related to speech and dexterity.
I can't walk without the aid of short-arm crutches and my dexterity isn't as good as I'd like, but I have video games (and guitar) to thank for as good as they are. The Wii might not be the most technologically advanced system, but "Super Mario Galaxy has done wonders for me!
All that being said, I'm looking for folks to play online with who realize and accept that I'm not "that good." Who can deal with the fact that I want a good game of LBP, NBA 2k9 or COD: 4 even though I might slow things down a bit or not get head shots...and who realize that I'm doing this to not only better my gaming, but work on my overall dexterity.
I've met a bunch of gamers who get frustrated and flame me with pissed off comments, and it's why I've yet to play LBP online even though I'm itching to try it out.
If you're a newbie to online gaming, or an understanding gamer in general, hit me up on PSN: Jeffrosuperfly-- but let me know if you're adding me because you've read this thread. It'll put my mind at ease, and I'll be much more likely to take the PS3 online for a spin!
Sleep tight, LPB Guiders.
Oh, by the way, I'm looking to start a new gaming site soon, and all of this is helping my confidence in the new site. THAT said, if you're an aspiring writer looking to review some games, let me know! I can't pay anybody right now, but when the time is right, I suppose I can "Obama" myself and spread some of the wealth around
Later, readers!
