Modern-Clix LBP3? 2 Apr 4 2013, 5:51 AM EDT by Nakatsu_Hime

http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/07/littlebigplanet-3-in-works-at-sumo-digital-rumour/

After reading that article, I was left with a few questions, and opinions. Will LBP finally have a legit 3D create mode? Will the level copy issue be resolved through clever coding or whatever? And will the LBP theme still be a major factor in LBP3's probable development?
My first opinion regards the create mode.
The first 3D creation space was presented in LittleBigPlant Karting, and it sucked. In fact, high end 3D programs for PC's are easier to learn! With them, all options are displayed at all times. And when you breach the barrier of 2D to 3D, you'll have alot of options to choose from.
That's why LBP2 worked; tools were organized by the range of game impact. (gadgets to global)
LBPK failed because with a 3D space, many high game impacting tools need to be present; this amount was too much to fit into the trusty popit.
Sumo Digital will need to find a way to make all high impact tools easily accessible, and visible at all times. Like LBP Vita did with options residing at each corner of the screen.
The next improvement over LBPK's create mode will be to remove sackboy! Instead of revolving the camera around the sometimes awkwardly placed fellow, I'd like a free orbital based camera that zooms, orbits, and pans. (BTW: 3D logic is terrible)
Media Molecule demonstrated a sculpting app at the PS4 announcement event, maybe this can be integrated into the game in a more ridged form. Allowing for better control over vertices.
The popit cursor will have to be scrapped unless another clever way of maneuvering it is implemented. Maybe a mode can be activated where depth of field is shown by shade, and all textures are hidden. This would help when the camera gives a false perspective.

BrandyIves ScoreBoards 1 Jan 28 2013, 11:40 AM EST by Nakatsu_Hime

My husband and I are in the process of creating our worlds, and had finished one level so far. Our question is this; when we go through our level and use up our sack lives, how can we get it to show the score on the scoreboard and end the level there, without it automatically directing us to the "Return to Pod or Replay?" Thanks in advance!

Modern-Clix Why I don't like LBPKarting 3 Dec 7 2012, 10:17 AM EST by Nakatsu_Hime

LBPKarting is the first LBP game that includes a 3D create mode. My first problem is finally delivering a 3D create mode, in a game so "out-of-theme" with the LBP series. LBP has always been about making, playing, and sharing custom games or game types. That's where the "limitless potential" came from! We weren't limited to a single game type!
Then, MM put's out a fully 3D create mode, YAY! But took out the heart of LBP. The idea of ModNation racers was a cool concept, but they should have left it with that. (ModNation Racers 2)
I was in the LBPKarting beta, and I must say: The create mode was so frustrating, I built on "3DS Max" afterwords to ease my tension!
My point is, you can learn a complex 3D software on a PC faster than LBPKarting!
I felt the UI wasn't user friendly in any way, the camera rotation contributed greatly to my anger.

In LBP1 and 2, all tools were perfectly organized. Right at your fingertips! But with LBPKarting, your tools are scattered! I know that people may disagree, but we all know that maybe, some tools could have been put on a single menu instead of six! If they really wanted to make this in the LBP theme, they'd of included MORE similar revamped tools:
Corner Editer: by simply rotating an object left and right at 90degree angles, you could manipulate the corners of poly's according the the axis. All in a separate menu. (Like the painting menu in the LBP2 Move pack)

They tried to cram too much, (in an excessive amount of menu's) in the popit. I think they missed the mark, and should know better. Another mistake like this, and it could soil the name of Sackboy.

I'm open to your OPINION on this. If you wish to criticize, back up your remark. I want to hear every angle.
